different perspectives
Saw a story on the internet and found it quite meaningful so I'm posting it here. Here goes:
Abrah Jahn was a monk that migrated to australia with nothing else other then himself...
He started from scratch roamed australia and finally he decided to build a monastry of his own. He gathered fellow monks to build the monastry and finally it was completed
He stood infront of monastry he built admiring his work...
To his surprise he realised that a particular wall that he built had 2 crooked bricks.
"ah...got 2 crooked bricks...this wall is wasted...but now its completed i cant fix it..."
He was dissapointed...
So everytime when there was visitors and tourist visiting the monastry he would lead them a big round around the monastry to avoid the "Ugly wall"
Then one day... after a usual visit from tourist the monk was walking around when he saw a tourist keep staring blankly
he ask the tourist...
monk: sir is there any thing i can help u?
he noticed the man was staring at the ugly wall...
monk: sir is there anything wrong?
man: this is a very gd wall...
monk: oh maybe u didnt see clearly, there is actually 2 crooked bricks on this wall...this is not a gd wall as u think...
man repied: no... this is a gd wall...
and he left
the monk was puzzled...back at night...he kept thinking why the tourist said it was a gd wall... and he finally realised...
Its a good wall...because out of the hundreds of bricks in the wall...there is only 2 crooked ones...
To the monk when he 1st saw it...he only noticed the 2 bad ones which "covered" the hundreds of good bricks
But wad the tourist saw was hundreds of perfect bricks...
2 sides to a coin
Morale of the story: If we see things in different perceptions it would make our world a much beautiful place There are 2 sides to everything. It depends on you to see what you want- the good or the ugly.
